To solve the age-old problem of flat roofing here we have used a one-piece rubber membrane call EPDM. This allows a far more efficient and clean way to waterproof a roof. In this case, it was to replace an old polycarbonate roof.
The deck of the roof is made up of a sandwich of OSB or (Oriented Strand Board) laid over conventional rafters with a bonded breather membrane, then 100mm of ridge foam insulation.
Covering this is a second layer of OSB, this provides a ridged deck to bond the EPDM to. The versatility of the product allows it to be formed around any shape or sized roof.
